In order to reward the company's employees for their excellent performance in the first half of the year, to enhance communication among employees, so that the company's employees can get close to nature and relax after work. On August 12-13, 2023, our company organized a two-day outdoor team building activity for employees. The company had 106 people participating. The destination of the activity was the Longsheng Terraced Fields Scenic Area in Guilin, Guangxi.
At 8:00 o'clock in the morning, the company took a group photo at the gate of the Hunan factory, and took a bus to Longsheng Scenic Area in Guilin, Guangxi. The whole journey took about 3hous. After arriving, we arranged to stay in a local hotel. After a short rest, we climbed to the viewing platform to overlook the beautiful scenery of the terraced fields.
In the afternoon, a rice field fishing competition was organized, with 8 teams and 40 people participating, and the top three won a prize of RMB 4,000.
The next day we went to the second scenic spot - Jinkeng Dazhai. We took the cable car up the mountain to overlook the beautiful scenery, and returned after playing for 2 hours. We gathered at the station at 12:00 noon and returned to the Hunan factory.
Scenic spot introduction: The terraced fields are located in Longji Mountain, Ping'an Village, Longji Town, Longsheng County, Guangxi, 22 kilometers away from the county seat. It is 80 kilometers away from Guilin City, between 109°32'-110°14' east longitude and 25°35'-26°17' north latitude. Longji Terraced Fields, in general, refers to the Longji Ping’an Terraced Fields, which are also early-developed terraced fields, distributed between 300 meters and 1,100 meters above sea level, with a maximum slope of 50 degrees. The altitude is about 600 meters above sea level, and the altitude reaches 880 meters when reaching the terraced fields.
On April 19, 2018, rice terraced fields in southern China (including Longji Terraces in Longsheng, Guangxi, Youxi United Terraces in Fujian, Hakka Terraces in Chongyi, Jiangxi, and Purple Quejie Terraces in Xinhua, Hunan) were listed in the Fifth Globally Important Agricultural Cultural Heritage At the international forum, it was officially awarded the global important agricultural cultural heritage.
The Nanling Mountains where Longsheng is located had primitive cultivated japonica rice from 6,000 to 12,000 years ago, and is one of the birthplaces of artificially cultivated rice in the world. During the Qin and Han Dynasties, terraced farming had already been formed in Longsheng. Longsheng Terraced Fields were developed on a large scale during the Tang and Song Dynasties, and basically reached the current scale during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Longsheng Terraced Fields have a history of at least 2,300 years and can be called the original home of terraced fields in the world.
